
Engr. Dr. Muhammad Subhan Azeem is a Chemical Engineer, academic leader, and senior university administrator currently serving as an associate professor at NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology, Multan. He has been associated with NFC IET since 2014 and has played a significant role in strengthening both academic excellence and institutional governance.
Dr. Azeem holds a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Punjab, Lahore. His research expertise lies in catalysis, dry reforming of methane, hydrogen production technologies, nano-catalyst development, catalyst stability, coke resistance, process simulation, and data-driven optimization techniques. His recent research integrates machine learning approaches with catalytic performance enhancement and chemical process optimization.
He has published extensively in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals, including Process Safety and Environmental Protection, Adsorption Science & Technology, and Frontiers in Chemical Sciences, among others. His research contributions focus on sustainable catalyst development and advanced simulation of complex separation processes using tools such as ASPEN HYSYS.
Dr. Azeem teaches key undergraduate courses, including Petroleum Refinery Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Unit Operations, Applied Thermodynamics, and Separation Processes, and supervises laboratory courses in Fuel & Energy and Thermodynamics. Over the years, he has also served in multiple academic and administrative capacities, including Laboratory In-Charge, Deputy Hostel Warden, and Member of the Board of Studies for Chemical Engineering and Food Science & Technology.
Through his combined roles in academic leadership and senior administration, Dr. Muhammad Subhan Azeem continues to contribute significantly to engineering education, applied research, and institutional governance within Pakistan’s higher education sector.
